Frequently asked questions
How GlowGuide works, what it can and can’t do, and how we handle your photo and privacy.
The basics
How is GlowGuide different from a facialist or dermatologist?
A facialist offers their own services; a dermatologist treats medical conditions. GlowGuide is independent — we help you understand the ingredients and treatments that actually fit your skin, then you choose where to shop and where to book. Think of us as the plan that ties it together, not another place to buy.
What do I actually get?
A personalized plan: a morning and night routine, product picks matched to what your skin needs, in-clinic options worth talking over with a provider, and a few clinics near you.
How long does it take?
About two minutes. No sign-up, and you can add a selfie or skip it entirely.
Your selfie & privacy
Is my selfie uploaded anywhere?
No. The optional selfie is analyzed right in your browser, on your device. Your photo is never uploaded or stored by us.
Do I need an account?
No account or login required.
Is the photo analysis a diagnosis?
No. It's a simulated cosmetic preview to make your report feel more personal — not a medical assessment, and it can't detect medical conditions. For those, please see a provider.
How we stay independent
Who does GlowGuide work for?
You. We’re built to sit in your corner — we name ingredients before brands and treatments before clinics, so the plan is about your skin, not a sales floor.
Do I have to buy new products?
No. Your plan names what works first. If something already in your routine fits, we'll say so — the goal is the right plan, not more shopping.
Are the product links sponsored?
Product links may be affiliate links, and clinic requests are lead-generation features (placeholders in this version). That never changes what we recommend — the recommendation always comes first.
Skin & safety
Is this medical advice?
No — it's cosmetic guidance only. GlowGuide doesn't diagnose or treat conditions. For anything persistent, painful, or changing, please see a licensed dermatologist or provider.
I’m pregnant or have sensitive skin — does that matter?
Yes, and we account for it. Tell us in the quiz and we’ll steer away from ingredients commonly avoided during pregnancy and lean toward gentler, fragrance-free picks.
What if my skin changes?
Skin shifts with the seasons, age, and stress. Retake the quiz any time to refresh your plan.
